It appears Adam “Pacman” Jones isn’t the only one who can’t avoid trouble. Running back Larry Johnson of Kansas City was allegedly involved in his fourth physical altercation with a female since becoming a Chief. The alleged incident occurred during the Chiefs’ bye week, and Johnson could face some stiff penalties if the story turns out to be true.
ESPN’s Michael Smith is reporting that Johnson was at a Kansas City nightclub when he became physically abusive with a woman, the second time this has happened this year and the fourth time in his short career with the Chiefs. Team President Carl Peterson spoke of Johnson on Sunday.
“We are aware of the most recent incident involving Larry Johnson and we are very disappointed with his involvement,” team president Carl Peterson said in a statement Sunday. “We will cooperate fully with the Kansas City authorities who are investigating the matter. We have also made the NFL office in New York aware of the incident and officials there are conducting their own independent investigation. “Based upon the NFL Player Conduct Policy, we will have no further comment.”
