One involved Chiefs’ tight end Tony Gonzalez who asked to be dealt to a contender. That didn’t happen and now Gonzalez is a bit miffed by that: “I’m shocked,” he said in an exclusive interview with FOXSports.com. “It didn’t make sense not to do this deal. It’s winding down for me and this team is rebuilding. If they said from the get-go, ‘No, we’re not going to trade you,’ that would’ve been better than how this whole thing unfolded. But that’s not what happened.Gonzalez was very candid about his feeling to FoxSports.com (you can read the entire interview here).

Gonzo would go on to say that he has no real hard feelings against the Chiefs. He knows he is at the end of his career and doesn’t want to play out his remaining days on a rebuilding team. Kansas City was adamant about receiving at least a second round pick for Gonzalez and apparently no one was willing to give that.
