
--Former Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy will receive the prestigious Lamar Hunt Award at the annual 101 Banquet in Kansas City on March 7.
The awards banquet recently announced its recipients.
New Orleans Drew Brees was named NFC offensive player of the year, Dallas' Demarco Ware the NFC defensive player and Atlanta's Mike Smith the coach of the year.
On the AFC side, Indy's Peyton Manning was named offensive player, Pittsburgh's James Harrison the defensive player of the year and Miami's Tony Sparano the coach of the year.
