Casey Cramer has shown more loyalty to his vehicles than NFL teams have shown to him.

The Dolphins' fullback, who has played for three franchises in five seasons, caught his first touchdown pass Sunday. That's not the only recent big change in his life.

He recently sold the 1999 Toyota Corolla that he had driven well over 100,000 miles and had kept long into his pro career.

"It broke down on me," Cramer said on WFTL (640-AM) Fox Sports on Tuesday. "I tried to fix it up, and it broke down again. So I upgraded to a 2004 Toyota Camry. It's wonderful, because it has power locks, and you don't have to roll up the windows manually. You have no idea how much you take for granted when you have those fancy things in your car."

Cramer is a Dartmouth graduate, like former Dolphins QB Jay Fiedler. He has passed his financial certification exam and may enter the financial services business someday.

"The way the market is going, I don't know if that's the best thing to do," Cramer said. "I may stick with this Football thing a little longer."

The Camry, too.

Dolphins Q&A

Dolphins writer Harvey Fialkov answers readers' questions in an exclusive online Q&A. A sampling:

Q: Based on the type of players coach [Tony] Sparano and [Bill] Parcells like, do you think there's any way this regime would have let either Wes Welker or Chris Chambers go?

A: "Wes Welker is certainly their type in the same mold that Greg Camarillo and Patrick Cobbs are - overachievers who were bypassed by the draft geeks and worked their way into being productive players. Not sure about Chris Chambers, though. He needed a change of scenery. Too many bad quarterbacks and a different offensive coordinator every year started getting to Chris. It was time to go. And by the way, they got QB Chad Henne with that draft pick for Chris. Not too shabby."
